Study project at the New Design University

Magdas Hotel is a place where refugees from crisis regions, travellers of the whole world and staff members of the Caritas come together. It offers space to linger, to get to know each other and to work together. Being appreciated as a human being regarding appropriate accommodation, the prospect of work and the possibility to meet other people in a new place is essential for refugees. A constructive detail is the initial point for the production of sculptural shapes of furniture. A focal point is the social background of the project; to exchange experiences differently, design furniture together and meet people, wherever they come from.
